Archiving and Repository Policy

Archiving Policy

The journal has electronic backup and preservation of access to the content of its journals via the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN). PKP has developed the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) to digitally preserve OJS journals. The LOCKSS program offers decentralized and distributed preservation, seamless perpetual access, and preservation of the authentic original version of the content. The PKP PN ensures that journals that are not part of any other digital preservation service (such as CLOCKSS or Portico) can be preserved for long-term access.

Repository Policy

The journal is following Sherpa/Romeo’s policy. The published version is openly accessible and can be located or deposited at any repository, any website, or journal website (refer to the JCSML website). The journal allows and encourages authors to distribute their manuscripts electronically (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their personal website) prior to and during the submission process, as it can lead to productive exchanges, as well as earlier and greater citation of published works. We believe that this can increase the impact of research and its visibility. After the manuscript has been accepted for publication, authors are allowed to use their manuscript openly and freely on the website, and on other institutional repositories or personal websites, provided that they acknowledge the original source of publication in the JCSML.

The journal also utilizes Crossref, the ISSN portal, and the National Library GARUDA Journal Database system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries. It permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. The journal is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation and accessibility of its publications. To achieve this, we have implemented a comprehensive archiving policy:

1. National Library GARUDA Archiving: All publications from the journal will be archived in the national library system GARUDA. This ensures that our journal’s content is preserved in a secure and reputable national repository, providing long-term access to our readers and researchers.

2. Local Backup: In addition to national archiving, we maintain a local backup of all our publications. This local backup is regularly updated to ensure that we have a current and complete copy of our journal's content.

3. Data Restoration: In the event that any content is found to be corrupted or lost, we have protocols in place to restore the affected content. Restoration will be conducted using either cloud storage solutions or our local backup, ensuring minimal disruption and maintaining the integrity and availability of our publications.
