About the Journal
The Journal of Education for Sustainable Development Studies (JESDS) is an international scholarly refereed research journal published by Scientia Publica Media in collaboration with Muhammadiyah University of Mataram. JESDS is published twice a year, in June and December. The journal publishes quality research studies within the context of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and related areas. It also publishes refereed research papers that include quantitative, qualitative, and mixed analyses. The journal strives to encourage and provide international publications for the benefit of researchers, academics, institutions, educators, and students with good professional practices. It provides a platform for disseminating research in the emergent field of ESD as it is implemented in primary and secondary schools, universities, and organizations worldwide. The journal upholds a strict “Zero Tolerance for Cheating and Plagiarism” policy, which prohibits the use of another person’s words, ideas, or arguments without proper citation. Authors are strongly advised to utilize plagiarism detection tools such as iThenticate or Turnitin prior to submission. JESDS also encourages the submission of original works that adhere to the publishing standards established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The journal offers immediate OPEN ACCESS to its content, based on the principle that making research freely accessible to the public promotes a broader global exchange of knowledge.
Publications in JESDS are entirely free of charge—there are no fees for article submission, processing, or publication. Authors from around the world are invited to submit original, unpublished papers at any time throughout the year. Since its inaugural release in 2024, JESDS has been a member of Crossref, ensuring that all published articles are assigned a unique DOI.
